Manure fork handle or tined fork handle ATLAS of ash wood, bent model with a length of 85 cm, equipped with a spring ferrule, a drilled hole and a T-grip. Suitable for forks with a pin connection.
ATLAS fork handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash wood planks are air dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, and tools remain firmly attached to the handle.
Subsequently the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural light colour. Waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than the use of varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS manure fork handles are manufactured completely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
