ATLAS club hammer handle made of hickory for a 1500 gram club hammer or stoning hammer, with head size 20 x 33.5 mm and length 27 cm. Produced according to the DIN 5135 standard and suitable for club hammers or stoning hammers meeting the DIN 6475 standard.
Due to the oval shape of the handle the hammer head is always in the correct striking orientation. For mounting the handle a metal hammer wedge no.4 with article number 651445 is recommended.
Hickory is a heavy, hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory wood is particularly tough, shock-resistant and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural colour. Waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, waxing handles with plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS hickory club hammer handles are, for the most part, produced energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
