This handle is suitable for the ATLAS rubber mallet Rotterdam model with hole and bracket (article number 998800). Due to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction. No pin or wedge is required for mounting the handle.
Hickory is a heavy and hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory wood is particularly tough, shock-resistant and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
