Manure fork handle or tine handle ATLAS of ash wood, straight model with a length of 85 cm, equipped with a strong through-mount T-grip. Suitable for forks with forged-on tangs. For mounting, two 50 mm rivets are recommended (item number 651620, including mounting advice).

ATLAS fork handles are made from ash under-stems, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.

Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its attractive natural colour. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, waxing handles with a plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
