Spade handle ATLAS made of plastic in the color yellow, straight T-handle with a length of 88 cm, fitted with a fiber core, a rubber-coated grip, and a milled end, smooth, narrow point, suitable for a Spear & Jackson spade or ATLAS gooseneck spade. This handle is 8 cm longer than an original Spear & Jackson spade handle. For mounting a 40 mm rivet is recommended (article number 651590, including mounting advice).
The ATLAS plastic shovel handle is, thanks to the 24 mm thick fiberglass reinforcement, resistant to extremely heavy work and virtually unbreakable. The strong plastic protects the fiber core from damage (damaged fiberglass consists of hundreds of upright fibers; these can cause wounds that may become infected). The handle is not completely rigid, but has some desirable springiness. The grip of the shovel handle is covered with natural rubber, providing a good grip.
Because this handle is so strong (stronger than the blade), no warranty is given on the mounted blade in case of breakage.
