Pitchfork handle ATLAS 120 cm, with spring bushing, drilled
ATLAS pitchfork handle made of ash wood, with a length of 120 cm. Equipped with a spring ferrule and a drilled hole. This short handle is suitable for pitchforks with two or three tines and a pin connection.
ATLAS pitchfork handles are made from ash trunk sections, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process the sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. By re-drying the handle does not shrink and tools remain firmly attached to the handle.
Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba wax. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its attractive natural color. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS pitchfork handles are manufactured completely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths.
