Claw hammer handle ATLAS HICKORY 12" - 31 cm, head size 14 x 26 mm
Claw hammer handle ATLAS made of hickory, with head size 26 x 14 mm and length 12” (approx. 31 cm). Because of the oval shape of the handle the hammer head always aligns in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle two metal hammer wedges no. 3 with article number 651425 are recommended.
Hickory is a heavy, hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory is particularly tough, shock-resistant and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based Carnauba wax. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its attractive natural light color. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS hickory claw hammer handles are, for the most part, manufactured energy-neutral in the Netherlands.
