Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS 100 cm strongly bent, with through-mount T-grip
Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS made of ash wood, strongly bent T-handle, length 100 cm, with a strong through-mount T-grip. Gooseneck shovel handles are recognizable by the thickened lower end of the handle. The thickened lower end makes the handle extra strong and ensures it sits firmly in the hand. This ATLAS strongly bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used together with a scoop shovel or digging shovel.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process freshly sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber controlled by computer. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.
Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural colour. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than the use of varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are manufactured completely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and configurations.
