Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS 110 cm double bent, with through-mount T-grip
This Atlas handle pairs well with a concrete shovel, flat shovel or a scoop shovel.
Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS made of ash wood, double-bent T-handle with a length of 110 cm, with a strong through-mount T-grip. Also called Gooseneck paving T-handle or swan-neck handle. Gooseneck shovel handles can be recognized by the thickened lower part of the handle. The thickened lower part makes the handle extra strong and ensures it sits firmly in the hand. Thanks to the double-bent S-shape the handle sits nicely high while the blade or concrete shovel lies flat on the sand. This ATLAS double-bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used in the infrastructure and paving sector together with a concrete shovel, flat shovel, digging shovel or a scoop shovel.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.
Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its attractive natural colour. Waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
