Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS of ash wood, strongly bent T-handle, length 110 cm, with a strong through-mount T-grip. Gooseneck shovel handles can be recognized by the thickened lower part of the handle. The thickened lower part makes the handle extra strong and ensures it sits firmly in the hand. This ATLAS strongly bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used together with a scoop shovel or digging shovel.

ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash wood rootstocks; this contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples.

Then the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural colour. Waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
