Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS 90 cm lightly bent, with through-mount T-grip
Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS of ash wood, lightly bent T-handle, length 90 cm, with a strong through-mount T-grip. Gooseneck shovel handles are recognizable by the thickened lower part of the handle. The thickened lower part makes the handle extra strong and ensures it sits securely in the hand. This lightly bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used together with a straight digging shovel.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural light color. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, waxing handles with plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
