Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS 90 cm strongly bent, with through-mount T-grip
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle made of ash wood, strongly bent T-handle 90 cm long, with a strong through-mount T-grip. Gooseneck shovel handles can be recognized by the thickened lower side of the handle. The thickened lower side makes the handle extra strong and ensures it sits firmly in the hand. This ATLAS strongly bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used together with a scoop shovel or digging shovel.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is redried in a climate-controlled chamber under computer control. By redrying the handle does not shrink, the tool remains firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples.
Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt and retains its attractive natural colour. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping to prevent blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than the use of varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are manufactured completely energy-neutrally in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
