Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS 95 cm lightly bent, with through-mount T-grip
Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS made of ash wood, slightly bent T-handle with a length of 95 cm, with a strong through-mount T-grip. Gooseneck shovel handles are recognizable by the thickened lower part of the handle. The thickened lower part makes the handle extra strong and ensures it fits securely in the hand. This slightly bent gooseneck shovel handle is most often used together with a straight digging shovel.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples.
Subsequently the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. Waxing ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, thereby preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutrally in the Netherlands and are available in different lengths and versions.
