Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS 95 cm strongly bent, with through-mount T-grip
Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS of ash wood, strongly bent T-handle in length 95 cm, with sturdy through-mount T-grip. Gooseneck shovel handles are recognizable by the thickened underside of the handle. The thickened underside makes the handle extra strong and ensures that it sits firmly in the hand. This ATLAS strongly bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used together with a scoop shovel or digging shovel.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash butt sections, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: in the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. In the second process the ash is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.
Subsequently the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural light colour. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than the use of varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
