This sturdy handle is stiff enough for a concrete scraper or bitumen scraper.
Concrete scraper handle ATLAS made of ash wood, straight model in length 130 cm. This handle fits a concrete scraper or formwork scraper with widths of 15 cm, 30 cm or 50 cm.
ATLAS concrete scraper handles are made from ash log sections, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-resistant and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process the sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. By re-drying, tools remain firmly fixed to the handle.
Then the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its attractive natural pale colour. Waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS concrete scraper handles are manufactured completely energy-neutral in the Netherlands.
