Engineer's hammer handle ATLAS made of hickory for a 100 gram engineer's hammer, with head dimensions 10 x 17 mm and length 27 cm. Due to the oval shape of the handle the hammer head is always in the correct striking orientation. For mounting the handle a metal hammer wedge No. 2 with article number 651415 is recommended.

hickory is a heavy and hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. hickory wood is particularly tough, shock-resistant and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural light color. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
