Rubber mallet handle ATLAS hickory for no. 8 and 9, head size 34 x 24 mm
This handle is suitable as a replacement handle for the large ATLAS rubber mallets no. 8 (item numbers 998695 and 998780) and ATLAS rubber mallets no. 9 (item numbers 998700 and 998790). No wooden wedges or metal wedges are needed to mount this handle in rubber mallets.
Hickory is a heavy, hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory wood is particularly tough, shock-resistant and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt and preserves its attractive light colour. The waxing extends the service life and provides a pleasant smooth handle, helping to prevent blisters. In addition, waxing handles with plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS hickory handles are, for the most part, manufactured energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
