The ATLAS shovel handle is made from ash wood rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. This prevents the handle from shrinking, keeps the tool and the through-mount T-grip firmly attached to the handle. In addition, the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba, which ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, preventing blisters.
