D-handle ATLAS of ash wood, bent handle in length 85 cm. This handle is often used together with a potato fork, beet fork, silage fork, rubble fork or grain shovel. The comfortable D-grip and sturdy handle are manufactured from a single piece by a CNC-controlled machine. The grip of the D-handle is reinforced with a metal pin.

ATLAS D-handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process the sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. By re-drying the handle does not shrink, and tools remain firmly attached to the handle.

Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural colour. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than the use of varnish or paraffin.

ATLAS D-handles are manufactured completely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
