Double-bent Atlas gooseneck shovel handle for use with, among other tools, a concrete shovel, screeding shovel, or scoop shovel
The ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle is made of ash wood, with a double-bent T-handle in a length of 100 cm, and a strong through-mount T-grip. Also known as a paver’s handle or swan-neck handle. Gooseneck shovel handles can be recognized by the thickened lower part of the handle. The thickened lower part makes the handle extra strong and ensures it sits securely in the hand.
A double-bent handle is often used by pavers
Thanks to the double-bent S-shape, the handle rises nicely high while the shovel or concrete shovel lies flat on the sand. This ATLAS double-bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used in the infrastructure and paving sectors together with a concrete shovel, screeding shovel, digging shovel, or scoop shovel.
This double-bent handle absorbs shock and is strong
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash wood trunk bases, which provide the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled kiln-dried in a climate chamber. Because of this redrying, the handle does not shrink, tools stay firmly fixed to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and helps it retain its beautiful natural color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are manufactured completely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
