ATLAS digging fork handle made of ash wood, straight T-handle with a length of 80 cm, with a wide through-mount T-grip. This handle is suitable, among other things, for the pointed spade Boskoop model with item number 810170. The 24 cm wide grip provides a comfortable hold and good working posture. ATLAS digging fork handles are made from ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is kiln-dried again in a climate-controlled chamber under computer control. Because of this re-drying, the handle does not shrink, tools stay firmly attached to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. Moreover, waxing handles with a plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
