Pitchfork handle ATLAS made of ash wood, with a length of 150 cm. Equipped with a spring ferrule and drilled hole. This fork handle is suitable for two- or three-tine pitchfork with a socket connection.
ATLAS pitchfork handles are made from ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink and tools stay firmly fixed to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful light color. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, preventing blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS pitchfork handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths.
