Pitchfork handle ATLAS made of ash wood, with a length of 180 cm. Equipped with a spring collar and drilled hole. This fork handle with an extra-long length is suitable for a two- or three-prong pitchfork with a tapered socket connection.
ATLAS pitchfork handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink and the tool stays firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful light color. The waxing ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, which helps prevent blisters. In addition, the plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS pitchfork handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths.
