Fencing maul handle ATLAS 100 cm round, head size 38 mm

Fencing maul handle or garden hammer handle ATLAS of ash wood, round handle with head size 38 mm and length 100 cm. Suitable for a wooden fencing maul or garden hammer with a round hole, such as the hammer with item number 650700. No wedge is required to mount this tapered handle.

ATLAS fencing maul and hammer handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash is re-dried in a climate-controlled chamber under computer control. By re-drying the handle does not shrink and the hammer head remains firmly secured to the handle.

The ATLAS handle is then waxed with plant-based carnauba wax. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt and preserves the beautiful natural colour. Waxing ensures a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
