Fencing maul handle ATLAS 100 cm oval, head size 55 x 35 mm

Fencing maul handle or garden hammer handle ATLAS of ash wood, with head dimensions 50 x 34 mm and length 100 cm. Suitable for a wooden fencing maul or garden hammer with an oval hole, such as the hammers with article numbers 650800, 650820 and 650950. Due to the oval shape of the handle the hammer head is always in the correct striking orientation. No wedge is required for mounting this tapered handle.

ATLAS fencing maul and hammer handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is redried in a climate chamber under computer control. Because of the redrying the handle does not shrink and the hammer head remains firmly attached to the handle.

Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural colour. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than the use of varnish or paraffin.
