Club hammer handle ATLAS 2000 grams, head size 22 x 37.5 mm according to DIN 5135

Club hammer handle ATLAS made of ash wood for a 2,000-gram club hammer or stoning hammer, with head dimensions 22 x 37.5 mm and length 26 cm. Manufactured according to DIN 5135 standard and suitable for club hammers or stoning hammers conforming to DIN 6475.

Due to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always aligned in the correct strike direction. For mounting the handle a metal hammer wedge no. 4 with article number 651445 is recommended.

ATLAS club hammer handles are made from ash wood butt logs, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbent and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process the sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink and the hammer head remains firmly fixed to the handle.

Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its attractive natural color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Furthermore, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
