Rake handle or broom handle ATLAS of ash wood, in length 170 cm and diameter 3 cm, equipped with a long tip of 95 x 17 mm. This very strong handle is suitable for heavy use.
These ATLAS rake handles are made from ash butt logs, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-resistant and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process the sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink and tools remain firmly attached to the handle.
Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its attractive natural pale color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS ash wood rake handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands. Rake handles are available in various wood types and designs.
