Wooden ash wedge, large wedge 70x80mm, packaged in a handy hanging blister provided with EAN coding, description and article number. This wooden wedge is 1) Used for small repairs (filling play/space caused by frequent or long use). The wooden wedge is tapered and a piece equal to the size of the space to be filled is taken from the wedge, this is gently driven into the space to be filled, the remainder is removed with a hacksaw, the repair is sanded smooth and the familiar tool feels like new again. 2) This wedge is used for fitting an axe handle provided with a slot. The wooden wedge is tapered and is therefore easy to drive firmly into the handle (slot). The wooden wedge should be installed as deep as possible and the remainder must be sawn off with a fine-toothed saw (hacksaw). Tip: use metal wedges (art. no. 651425) and place these perpendicular to the already placed wooden wedge for locking. The axe handle swells and is clamped in the axe head.
