Forged Flensburger spade with step and double spring

This type of Ideal spade is a so-called Flensburger spade. A spade with a Flensburger blade has a strong, slightly bent blade, a double spring, and is forged from one piece.
The Ideal 1006 spade has a blade of hardened steel. The blade is conically rolled and therefore self-sharpening during use. The finely polished finish of the blade helps soil release more easily from the blade. Thanks to the round treads on the top side of the blade, the user has a good grip and footwear is not damaged.
The handle is attached to the blade with a double spring. This handle connection is very strong. The blade and double spring are forged from one piece of steel, creating a sturdy whole. The Atlas handle is made from ash wood trunk bases, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-resistant, and strong.
