Because of the large blade, the ATLAS DIAMANT digging spade is used for all kinds of earthwork in construction, infrastructure and road building. In addition, this spade model is also ideal for uprooting and planting, for example trees, shrubs and hedges.
The ATLAS D-handle is made from ash wood rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. As a result, the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples. ATLAS handles are bent in boiling water. This causes the wood grain in the handle to bend along and prevents the grain from running out of the handle. The bending process makes the handle extremely strong. In addition, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba, which provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters.
