The Atlas spade handle is made from ash wood trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood has been re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. As a result, the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple. In addition, the Atlas handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba, which ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, preventing blisters.
