Grain shovel OFFNER aluminium with wear strip and ATLAS D-handle 95 cm bent
Grain shovel OFFNER aluminium, with wear strip and bent ATLAS D-handle, length 95 cm.
The aluminium blade is hardened, which prevents premature wear on the underside and sides. In addition, the grain shovel is fitted with a sturdy aluminium wear strip, which reduces wear on the front of the blade.
OFFNER grain shovels are very strong, lightweight and ideal for scooping large, light volumes.
The comfortable D-handle and sturdy handle are machined from a single piece by a CNC-controlled machine. The grip of the D-handle is reinforced with a metal pin.
ATLAS YD handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, and tools remain firmly fixed to the handle.
Subsequently, the ATLAS YD-handles are bent in boiling water. This causes the wood grain or fibers in the handle to bend along with it and prevents the grain from running out of the handle (a run-out grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color.
