Grain shovel OFFNER aluminium, with wear strip and bent ATLAS metal D-handle, 95 cm long.
The aluminium blade is hardened, which prevents premature wear to the underside and sides. In addition, the grain shovel is fitted with a sturdy aluminium wear strip, reducing wear on the front of the blade.
OFFNER grain shovels are very strong, lightweight and ideal for scooping large, light volumes.
ATLAS YD-handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink and the tool remains firmly fixed to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS YD handles are bent in boiling water. This causes the wood grain or fibers in the handle to bend along with it and prevents the grain from running out of the handle (a running-out grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba wax. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color.
