Grain shovel OFFNER aluminium, without wear strip, with bent ATLAS shovel handle in length 130 cm.
The aluminium blade is extra hardened by the addition of manganese, which prevents premature wear on the underside and sides. OFFNER grain shovels are very strong, lightweight and ideal for scooping large, light volumes.
ATLAS bat handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. Due to the re-drying the handle does not shrink, and tools remain firmly fixed to the handle.
Then the ATLAS bat handles are bent in boiling water. This causes the wood grain or fiber in the handle to bend with it and prevents the grain from running out of the handle (a running-out grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color.
