The blade of this ballast shovel is hardened thanks to the extra addition of manganese. This prevents premature wear on the underside and sides of the blade. The steel strip at the front protects the blade and ensures a longer service life. Aluminium ATLAS ballast shovels are strong, lightweight, and highly suitable for moving large volumes.
The metal D-handle is made from ash wood rootstock. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The strong steel grip is fitted with an ash wood handle and sits comfortably in the hand.
