Axe handle, ash wood, 110 cm. Extra long, ATLAS brand. Straight handle for old heavy forged axes. The eye size is 90x40mm. For assembly, use the wedge set (item no. 651805). The Atlas ash wood handle is waxed with vegetable-based Carnauba and ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. In addition, Carnauba wax provides a pleasantly smooth handle, helping to prevent blisters. An important advantage of waxed handles is the extended service life of the garden tool and therefore its sustainability. The vegetable-based waxing of handles is also much better for the environment than varnish/paraffin. Atlas handles are manufactured entirely carbon-neutral in the Netherlands from ash trunk bases, which contain the best wood, after two drying processes. During the first drying process, sawn ash wood planks are air-dried on slats, after which they are kiln-dried in the second process in a computer-controlled climate chamber.
