Cable shovel with straight front, high upward-bent socket and extra hardened blade.
Cable shovel or digging shovel ATLAS in a 16 cm width, 3/4 bent, provided with a straight bottom side. The extra hardened blade is black lacquered. This cable shovel is delivered without handle.
Thanks to its narrow shape and the high upward-bent socket, a cable shovel is ideal for scooping out trenches. Handy for laying fiber optic cable, irrigation, or underground cable. ATLAS DIAMANT cable shovels are popular among, among others, civil engineering and infrastructure companies, pavers, landscapers, and in construction.
A cable shovel is also called a banana shovel.
ATLAS and ATLAS DIAMANT cable shovels are available in various versions, both with and without handle.
Explanation of socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more angled the socket. This determines whether a shovel or bats is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket, when the blade is lying flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle stands almost straight on the blade
1/4: the socket is bent upward 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent upward 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent upward 70 mm, for example with scoop shovels and cable shovels
