The maul head is fitted with steel bands on both sides. This makes this fencing maul very strong. Because of the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction.
ATLAS fencing maul handles are made from ash tree trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. By drying back, the handle does not shrink and the head stays firmly attached to the handle. The ATLAS handle is then waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. The waxing ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters.
