Rake handle or broom handle ATLAS made of ash wood, with a length of 170 and a diameter of 3 cm, equipped with a long taper of 95 x 17 mm. This very strong handle is suitable for heavy-duty use.
These ATLAS rake handles are made from ash tree trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-resistant, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. By re-drying, the handle does not shrink and tools remain firmly fixed to the handle.
The ATLAS handle is then waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. Moreover, the plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS ash wood rake handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands. Rake handles are available in various wood types and versions.
