Steel Pickaxe or Pioche with Oval Ash Wood Handle
ATLAS Pickaxe or Pioche with a weight of 3 kilos, length 55 cm, made of forged carbon steel, complete with an oval ATLAS ash wood handle with a length of 90 cm. The pickaxe has a hardened point on one side and a flat draw hoe on the other side, 55 mm wide.
The ATLAS pickaxe handle is made from ash wood trunk sections, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. By redrying, the handle does not shrink, and the tool stays securely fastened to the handle.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful light color.
