Club hammer handle ATLAS made of hickory wood for a 1000 g club hammer or stoning hammer, with head size 18.5 x 31.5 mm and length 25 cm. Manufactured according to the DIN 5135 standard and suitable for club hammers or stoning hammers with a DIN 6475 standard.
Because of the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head always aligns in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle a metal hammer wedge No. 4 with article number 651445 is recommended.
Hickory is a heavy, hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory wood is particularly tough, shock-resistant and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its attractive natural light color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS hickory club hammer handles are, for the most part, manufactured energy-neutrally in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
