Club hammer handle ATLAS of hickory wood for a 2000-gram club hammer or stoning hammer, with head size 22 x 37.5 mm and length 28 cm. Produced according to DIN 5135 standard and suitable for club hammers or stoning hammers with a DIN 6475 standard.
Because of the oval shape of the handle the hammer head is always in the correct striking orientation. For mounting the handle a metal hammer wedge no. 4 with article number 651445 is recommended.
Hickory is a heavy and hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory wood is particularly tough, shock-resistant and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its attractive natural color. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS hickory club hammer handles are, for the most part, manufactured energy-neutrally in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
