Stainless steel shovels and spades are rust-resistant and smooth, but more susceptible to breakage than boron steel. Therefore, no warranty is given for stainless steel spades and shovels in the event of blade breakage.
The ATLAS Blijham handle is made from ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood has been computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. As a result, the handle does not shrink, tools stay firmly fixed to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples. In addition, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba, which ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters.
Explanation of socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more angled the socket is. This determines whether a shovel or spade is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle is almost straight on the blade
1/4: the socket is 35 mm bent, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is 55 mm bent, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is 70cm bent, for example for scoop shovels and deep shovels
