Holsteiner Concrete Shovel made of extra hardened steel with polished edge
ATLAS DIAMANT concrete shovel, Holsteiner model with socket angle 3/4 bent up, blade size 2, red painted version of extra hardened steel, with straight front edge and polished edge. Delivered without handle.
The Holsteiner shovel is in high demand on the German market and is widely used by pavers, landscapers, and in civil engineering, road construction, or waterworks. A concrete shovel is ideal for scooping up, for example, sand or soil and leveling a sand bed.
Explanation of socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle in relation to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more slanted the socket. This determines whether a shovel or bats is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket, when the blade lies flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle is almost straight on the blade
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70 mm, for example with scoop shovels and deep shovels
Explanation of blade width
In the past, there were blade widths that ranged from size 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time, the blades had to become smaller because of working conditions, and smaller sizes were introduced.
The blade sizes for bats and shovels range from large to small: 2 – 1 – 0 – 00 – 000
