Club hammer handle ATLAS of ash wood for a 1000-gram club hammer or stoning hammer, with head size 18.5 x 31.5 mm and length 25 cm. Manufactured according to DIN 5135 standard and suitable for club hammers or stoning hammers with a DIN 6475 standard.
Because of the oval shape of the handle the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle a metal hammer wedge no.4 with article number 651445 is recommended.
ATLAS club hammer handles are made from ash wood rootstocks, which contain the best timber. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process the sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate-controlled chamber using computer control. By re-drying the handle does not shrink and the hammer head remains firmly fixed to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba wax. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its attractive natural color. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, using plant-based waxing for handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS club hammer handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and designs.
