Concrete shovel ATLAS 1/2 0 red, extra hardened, with ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle 110 cm double bent
Concrete shovel ATLAS with socket setting 1/2 and blade size 0. The red lacquered blade is extra hardened. Complete with a double-bent ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle in length 110 cm, equipped with a through-mount T-grip.
Thanks to the straight front edge of this concrete shovel, it is perfectly suited for levelling or for smoothly scooping off a sand bed or road trench. This concrete shovel is often used by pavers, infrastructure companies and landscapers.
The ash wood ATLAS shovel handle is made from ash wood rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood has been re-dried in a computer-controlled climate chamber. As a result the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples.
Additionally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba, which ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, thereby preventing blisters.
Explanation of socket setting
With the socket angle the angle is indicated relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more inclined the socket is. This determines whether a shovel or spade is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle is almost straight in relation to the blade.
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70 cm, for example on scoop shovels and deep shovels
Explanation of blade width
In the past there were blade widths that ran from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time the blades had to be made smaller because of working conditions, and smaller sizes were introduced.
