D-handle - ATLAS spade handle 90 cm straight, for Polet spade

Atlas D-handle or spade handle made of ash wood, straight handle with a length of 90 cm. The comfortable D-grip and strong handle are manufactured from a single piece by a CNC-controlled machine. The handle of the D-grip is reinforced with a metal pin. This handle is suitable, among other things, for a Polet spade or for shovels with double springs. Two rivets are required for installation (see item number 651620, also for the installation advice).

Atlas D-handles are made from ash trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink, and tools remain firmly attached to the handle.

Next, the Atlas handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful light color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, which helps prevent blisters. In addition, waxing handles with plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
