This Ruhr Brillant shovel is made of extra hardened steel, has a sharp cutting edge, and a polished finish. The steel of this Drenthe shovel is wear-resistant and suitable for intensive use. Thanks to the polished finish, soil is less likely to stick and the blade is easier to clean.
The bent Atlas shovel handle is made from ash wood butt logs, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood has been computer-controlled redried in a climate chamber. This prevents the handle from shrinking, keeps the tool firmly attached to the handle, and allows the through-mount T-grip to be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples.
Atlas handles are bent in boiling water. This allows the wood grain in the handle to bend along with it and prevents the grain from running out of the handle. The bending process makes the handle extremely strong. In addition, the Atlas handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba, which ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping to prevent blisters.
