Engineer's hammer handle ATLAS made of hickory wood for a 300-gram engineer's hammer, with head dimensions 12.5 x 21.5 mm and a length of 30 cm. Because of the oval shape of the handle the hammer head is always in the correct striking orientation. For mounting the handle a metal hammer wedge no. 2 with article number 651415 is recommended.

hickory is a heavy, hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. hickory wood is particularly tough, shock-resistant and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its attractive natural clear color. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth feel to the handle, helping to prevent blisters. In addition, waxing handles with plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
