Strong ash wood Atlas handle for a heavy-duty garden hoe
Atlas ash wood handle, length 105 cm, suitable for an Adler heavy-duty garden hoe.
Atlas handles are made from ash wood butt logs, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is redried in a computer-controlled climate chamber. Thanks to this redrying, the handle does not shrink and the axe head remains firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the Atlas handle is waxed with the vegetable-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful light color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping to prevent blisters. In addition, waxing handles with plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
Atlas handles are manufactured entirely carbon-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and designs.
